We Need Your Help.
Between now and 2040, the number of seniors aged 85+ is expected to double. Our nation’s senior population is growing and our current infrastructure is not prepared to support this demand.
Our volunteers are the heart and soul of our mission, bringing hope, support, and companionship to those who need it most. With your help, we can be better prepared to meet the needs of this growing population.
As you explore the many ways to volunteer with CareLink, know that your involvement is not just about giving time—it’s about becoming part of a compassionate community dedicated to enriching the lives of seniors.
Your contribution, no matter the size, plays a crucial role in making our world a kinder, more connected place.
Help us create a better today, and tomorrow for aging Arkansans.

Ways to Volunteer
Meals on Wheels
What are You Doing for Lunch?
12 million seniors are threatened by or experience hunger.
Through our Meals on Wheels program, you can brighten a senior’s day with a warm meal and a friendly face. Often, our volunteers are the only people a recipient sees all day, making each visit truly special.
Meals on Wheels can serve a senior for an entire year for about the same cost as just one day in a hospital or 10 days in a nursing home.
With just one hour a week, you can make a significant difference in the fight against senior hunger in Arkansas, where food insecurity is a pressing issue.
Meals are delivered Monday through Friday around lunchtime. You’ll deliver meals to a route of 10-15 seniors, and we’ll work with you to find the best route that suits your schedule. Churches, businesses, and other groups are welcome to join us in this effort. We’ll tailor a delivery route that works best for your team.

Ways to Volunteer
Telephone Reassurance Program
Be a Lifeline of Comfort
Our Telephone Reassurance Program is a vital service for seniors who may not have family or friends checking in regularly. A simple phone call can provide much-needed socialization and help ensure their well-being.
Calls are made Monday through Friday, and you can complete your assigned calls in about 30 minutes from your home or at a senior center. We’ll work with your schedule to find the perfect time for you to reach out. This program is one of the most convenient ways to volunteer, especially if your availability is limited.

Ways to Volunteer
Volunteer Ombudsman
Be the Voice for Quality Care
As a Volunteer Ombudsman, you’ll serve as an advocate for aging residents in your area, ensuring they receive the quality care they deserve. This role is crucial in giving a voice to those who may not be able to advocate for themselves.
Under the guidance of CareLink’s regional ombudsmen, you’ll visit care facilities weekly to assist residents and their families. Training and orientation are provided to prepare you for this rewarding role.
To be an eligible volunteer, you must be at least 18 years old and have no immediate family working or residing in the nursing home you’ll visit.
