CareLink volunteers and board members enjoyed an evening celebrating Meals on Wheels at last month’s Tales from the Route. The evening highlighted the heart of Meals on Wheels with selected stories straight from our very own volunteers.
Four speakers shared their experiences from the route in a series of tales that were both heart-warming and humorous. From encounters with a clown-collecting carny to the chronicles of a unique friendship between one volunteer and her client, the night’s stories gave listeners a glimpse into the lives of those to whom we provide both nutrition and companionship and the priceless relationships that form when you work to meet not one basic human need, but two.
